Composer
Steven is currently an active composer, dedicated instructor, and engaged member of the vibrant music community in Tacoma, Washington, as well as the greater Seattle/Tacoma area. One of his great passions is to thoughtfully compose original music for a diverse variety of different ensembles, including symphony orchestras and choirs.
Among the many projects he is working on, one of his most current and exciting works in progress is an original musical that showcases his unique creative vision. He proudly holds a Bachelor of Music degree with a focus in Music Composition from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.
Throughout his education, he has had the privilege of studying under a number of highly recognized musicians and esteemed scholars, such as Dr. Gregory Youtz, Dr. Jeffery Bell-Hanson, Dr. Richard Nance, and Richard Treat.
Most recently, he had the opportunity to work with the Pierce College Orchestra in Puyallup, WA, serving as their interim conductor in 2023, where he was able to debut his own works for string orchestra as a proud alumnus.
Steven has many exciting future endeavors currently in the works, and he sincerely hopes to share them with the public soon so that everyone can enjoy and appreciate them.
